April's monthly blog post

Today is the last day of the month and it is also my last blog post for AP English. With the most recent unit we have done the ultimate conflict man vs self I feel that I will connect the way in which Faustus deals with power is very similar to the current election. For example, Faustus really desires to have so much power and says all the good things he would do with said to be ultimate power. This is very similar to the way in which politicians right now running for the presidential election claim that with the power of president would do all these worldly things to better the country. The issue is like Faustus abuses his power by pulling practical jokes on innocent people such as the pope. My curiosity comes from wondering what would these politicians do with all the power they would gain from being admitted presidency of the country. Are they all just lying so they can do whatever they want or are they just actually trying to better humanity? I would like to think that they want to help society, but honestly can they even handle it any better than Faustus? That is what is going through my mind as a young voter and I really hope I can find someone worth voting for in this very interesting election...
