December Blog

So for this monthly blog with today being New Year's Eve I have decided to go off on a tangent with the topic of waiting. Right now everyone is waiting for things to happen. In the hero unit we read Waiting for Godot and that was about just waiting for some dude, who by the way never even showed up...That really bothered me just because they literally were waiting their entire lives to meet him. The two friends should have gotten off their butts and went to Godot's home or something instead of just wasting their lives. But, to tie this back into life and what not I feel that New Year's Eve is very similar in terms of waiting for this big change that really has no impact other than the year number changing. People make goals and think they can be different, but at the end of the day you are who you are deep down and nothing as simple as the day changing can really alter the habits of someone. I think it is a nice idea of hitting the reset button for some, but honestly life goes on and the same things happen. I just feel that waiting is the most awful thing especially when it comes to something asinine like the time to change. This probably sounds like I am very impatient because I would rather go do something about my issues rather than wait for them to change on their own. But, that is my opinion that is what is very unique about this assignment is that I can pretty much say what I'm thinking as long as I can tie it into something we covered like Waiting for Godot. I hope you had a nice holiday, Mrs. Burnett!
